Access your subconscious to create lasting change
Faster breakthroughs. Deeper transformation.
Why use hypnotherapy?*
Coaching and counselling work with the conscious mind, the part of us that thinks, plans, and analyses. That work is powerful. But sometimes, the conscious mind can only take us so far.
To create deeper shifts, we may also need to work with the subconscious where many of our patterns and beliefs are held.
Faster results
Hypnotherapy connects with the subconscious, which stores everything we’ve experienced throughout our lives. It’s like a vast internal filing cabinet, capable of processing up to 40 million bits of information per second, compared to just 40 bits per second in the conscious mind. That’s why hypnotherapy can work much faster than therapies that work with the conscious mind, like counselling.
Less talking, more healing
Hypnotherapy doesn’t require long conversations. All you need to share is what you’re struggling with and how it’s affecting your life. No need for detailed backstories or lengthy explanations. Your subconscious already knows it all.
Lasting change
Used for centuries to support healing and personal transformation, hypnotherapy allows us to access deeper insights and create change that lasts.

“I got in touch with Wendela for help with my anxiety. The first thing I noticed about her was that she has a lovely, calm voice and way of speaking that put me at ease straight away. She took the time to get to know me and to tailor the session to my needs. A few days after the session I realised that I was able to do many day to day things without feeling anxious. On a couple of occasions I actually asked myself why I wasn’t feeling more anxious. Before the session with Wendela I definitely would have been!.”

“I had a hypnotherapy session with Wendela after I’d started experiencing repeated short periods of anxiety that seemed to come from “nowhere”. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the session and couldn’t really imagine how it could help if I didn’t know the cause of anxiety.
But it worked!
For the first few days after I still got the occasional time where I could feel the anxiety starting. Then it just seemed to stop!
I would definitely recommend Wendela. She is calming and confident and has an amazing skill in this.”

Hypnotherapy FAQs
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses hypnosis to access the subconscious mind to treat mental and physical conditions or change unhelpful habits.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a technique to induce a state of trance. Trance is a deep relaxation of body and mind so that we can bypass the the conscious mind and engage with the subconscious.
Will I lose control?
Your subconscious won’t allow you to do anything against your will so you are always in control.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Trance is deep relaxation of body and mind which is a natural state. Most people find it extremely comfortable and are fully aware of everything that’s going on in the session. Some people are so relaxed that they cannot really recall much. Both are fine.
Can hypnotherapy be done online?
Yes, all my sessions are online. Hypnotherapy works very well on Zoom. All you need is a comfortable sofa or chair in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. In our discovery call we will discuss the computer set-up we need so that I can see you properly during the session.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes, anyone can be hypnotised, unless you are consciously or unconsciously resisting it. When you consciously resist, there is no point trying and other treatments may be more beneficial. When an unconscious resistance becomes apparent, it is best to have a discussion about this.
Is hypnotherapy safe
Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural state of deep relaxation that can support the treatment of a range of physical and mental health conditions. However, it may not be suitable for individuals with certain severe mental health conditions (e.g. psychosis, personality disorders, or severe depression). If you’re unsure whether hypnotherapy is right for you, please speak to a medical or mental health professional first.
What does a session look like?
We will first discuss what you would like to work on. I won’t need a lot of information; there is no need to go through a long history of events. Then you make yourself comfortable with your eyes closed, ready to be hypnotised. The session takes 30 – 40 minutes after which there will be a short debrief.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions you need depends on what we are working on. In many cases, one or two sessions is enough. For some conditions, more sessions may be necessary.
Is Hypnotherapy right for me?
If you are open to try, yes, it can be for you. Have a look at the listings below of what can be treated with Hypnotherapy. Even if your condition or issue is not on the list, contact me and we can discuss. You can book a free discovery call using the button on this page.

“I had persistent headaches for months and it felt like I had tried everything, medical and non-medical. Wendela led a hypnotherapy session for me and in just one session, it was almost gone. It was quite freeing. I still don’t know what shifted but I am glad it did. My day to day has improved so much since. As a practitioner, Wendela elicits trusts and comfort which is important for me when I am being vulnerable. Very grateful for the session. I would definitely recommend it.”

“Wendela has helped me a lot throughout the years. Firstly, by teaching me tapping techniques for when I feel overwhelmed and recently with hypnotherapy. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I entered with an open mind and was presently surprised by the outcome. I experienced tight hips for months and after the hypnotherapy session my range of motion has improved massively. I would definitely recommend going to Wendela.”
